Hair Restoration: PRF, Autohemotherapy & Nutrient Injections

Hair growth progress over two months.

What Is PRF?

Hair Restoration with PRF, autohemotherapy, and vitamin & herbal extract injections is a non-surgical regenerative treatment designed to stimulate hair growth and improve hair density by harnessing the body’s natural healing abilities.

PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is a minimally invasive injectable treatment that uses a patient’s own blood to rejuvenate skin and tissue. PRF is made from a protein matrix called fibrin that contains white blood cells and growth factors. When injected into the scalp, PRF can help revitalize hair follicles, support healthier follicle function, and encourage new hair growth.

PRF hair restoration may help with:

  • Male and female pattern hair loss and thinning
  • Overall hair follicle health and density

GLP‑1–Related Hair Loss Support

Some patients experience increased hair shedding or thinning while using GLP‑1 medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide), often due to rapid weight loss, reduced calorie intake, or temporary nutritional shifts. Our PRF, autohemotherapy, and vitamin & herbal extract injection protocol is designed to support hair follicle health during this period by delivering growth factors, nutrients, and regenerative signals directly to the scalp. Many patients find that this regenerative approach helps reduce shedding, improve hair density, and support healthier regrowth while they continue their GLP‑1–based weight management plan.

How PRF Hair Restoration Works

  • Blood draw
A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm.
  • Plasma separation
The blood is processed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and blood components into layers.
  • Injection
The PRF layer is collected into small syringes and injected into the scalp in areas where hair growth is desired.

Treatment Plan & Frequency

PRF hair restoration is typically performed as a series of treatments, spaced weekly. The exact number of sessions varies by person and depends on the cause and severity of hair loss.

Example 7-Week Protocol

(Combined PRF, autohemotherapy, and nutrient injections)

  • Week 1: Autohemotherapy + PRF + vitamin & herbal extract injections
  • Week 2: Autohemotherapy + vitamin & herbal extract injections
  • Week 3: Autohemotherapy + PRF + vitamin & herbal extract injections
  • Week 4: Autohemotherapy + vitamin & herbal extract injections
  • Week 5: Autohemotherapy + PRF + vitamin & herbal extract injections
  • Week 6: Autohemotherapy + vitamin & herbal extract injections
  • Week 7: Autohemotherapy + PRF + vitamin & herbal extract injections

Your provider may adjust this schedule based on your response, scalp condition, and goals.

After Treatment & Side Effects

PRF hair restoration is typically performed as a series of treatments, spaced weekly. The exact number of sessions varies by person and depends on the cause and severity of hair loss.

Most patients can return to regular activities shortly after treatment. Common, temporary side effects may include:

  • Tenderness or soreness at injection sites
  • Mild swelling
  • Minor bleeding or bruising
  • Itching
  • Small scabs at injection points

These effects usually resolve within a few days.
